The method of training used can affect the behavior and cognitive learning of the audience; therefore, in meeting the needs of the audience, you must consider the various methods of how training is delivered (i.e., traditional vs. web-based). Personally, I would choose the on the job training method. I think this method caters to all different learning types, and you are literally learning the position you are going to do while training. Sometimes training can be in a classroom setting with videos and PowerPoints, which offers valuable information, but I personally believe in hands on, learning the exact job you are required to do. It can be hard to implement what was learned in a classroom setting, so offering on the job training would be ideal in my opinion. It offers one-on-one training, or training in a very small group which can cater to everyone’s learning styles and really gives them a first-hand look at what they will be doing in their position.
